Joseph Bebel is originally from the Greater Kansas City area. Before coming to Georgetown, Joseph graduated from Brigham Young University in European Studies with a minor in International Strategy and Diplomacy. Joseph fell in love with the region after spending over two years in Central Europe, spending most of his time in Hungary. His areas of interest include illiberal democracy, populism, transatlantic relations, and European security. He is currently a Fellow with the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy and is beginning work with the Government Accountability Office.
