Sophie May is from Buffalo, New York, and graduated from the University of Buffalo in 2022 with degrees in International Relations, French, and History. She recently completed a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Daugavpils, Latvia, where she worked with local high school and university students. As a recipient of the Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Fellowship, Sophie will join the Foreign Service after graduating in 2025. Her areas of interest focus on Russian and Eastern European security.
