Lizzy Culp is from Kalamazoo, Michigan. She graduated from Haverford College in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Russian Language and Area Studies. She is also a graduate of the Russian Overseas Flagship program, which is part of the DLNSEO Language Flagship. Her experience abroad includes intensive Russian language study in Saint Petersburg and Almaty, as well as an internship for the Democratic Initiatives Foundation in Kyiv. Lizzy worked as the program officer for the Russian Overseas Flagship at American Councils for International Education for three years before joining the National Endowment for Democracy as the Eurasia team program assistant in summer 2023. Her areas of interest include the role of state-sponsored youth movements in Kremlin domestic policy and state building efforts in Ukraine.
