Scott Ludwig is from Pocatello, Idaho. He graduated from Boise State University’s School of Public Service with a degree in International Relations, and he competed on the Talkin’ Broncos debate team, receiving numerous accolades at regional and national tournaments. Following graduation, Scott immediately began service in the 52nd group of Peace Corps Ukraine, teaching English as a Foreign Language to the students of Rokyni in Volynska Oblast. During this time, he learned to speak Ukrainian through the Peace Corps’ intensive training program and immersion in the community. At the end of his service, he went on to independently study Russian abroad at the University KROK in Kyiv. At MAERES, his research focus is on Russo-Ukrainian relations.
