Center for Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies (CERES)
Since 2000, CERES has served as the home of Georgetown University's National Resource Center (NRC) on the region, through a Title VI grant awarded by the US Department of Education. CERES' NRC mission is to increase understanding and appreciation of the cultures and challenges of the region stretching from Central Europe to the Pacific and from the Baltic to the Mediterranean, Black and Caspian Seas.
Throughout the year, CERES hosts a wide variety of programs designed to increase awareness and knowledge of the region. CERES also houses the Ion Ratiu library's holdings on the countries of the region.
