Braden Barnett is from McLean, Virginia and has lived in the DC area his whole life. He graduated from the George Washington University in 2025 with a bachelors degree in International Affairs and a concentration in Security Policy. While at GW, he also studied Russian language and studied abroad in Tallinn, Estonia. At CERES, Braden studies Ukrainian language, history, and politics as well as Russian Cognitive Warfare. Outside of Georgetown, Braden has held internships at the Institute for the Study of War and the American Foreign Policy Council. He also spent Summer 2026 studying Ukrainian Language intensively in Warsaw, Poland. After graduation, Braden hopes to pursue a career in foreign policy regarding Russia and Ukraine.
