Amelia Huntsman grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended Oberlin college. She graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor’s in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies and a minor in Creative Writing. Before coming to Georgetown, she completed a Fulbright English Teaching Grant at Korkyt Ata University in Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan. She is a member of the European Policy Organization of Georgetown. Her primary interests are intercultural communication, ethnicity and nationalism in Central Asia and the Caucasus, and legal cultures and corruption. Amelia hopes to one day join the Public Diplomacy track of the Foreign Service or work in journalism.
