Kelly Alksninis is originally from Celebration, Florida. She graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in Russian. While at the Academy she studied abroad in Daugavpils, Latvia. Her research interests are geared towards border relations between Russia and its European neighbors, as well as the cultural history of the Baltic States.
