Title: BP Representatives Speak with CERES Students on Caspian Energy

Professor Shaffer's class meets with representatives from BP

CERES students recently met with representatives of BP and discussed the company’s activities in the Caspian region as part of the course “Caspian Sea Energy Resources: Theory and Practice” led by Prof. Brenda Shaffer. The students heard from Mr. Robert Scher, head of BP International Affairs, and from Mr. Chris Schlueter, BP Country Manager in Georgia. The two executives discussed BP’s work in the Caspian Sea and the region’s role in European energy security. Prof. Shaffer’s course examines the politics and economics of oil and natural gas in the Caspian region.
