Those interested in the variety of events CERES hosts on the region may ask to be added to the events notification email list (click here to request to be added) or check the online CERES calendar (click here).
To apply for the program, a prospective applicant must fill out the online application form (click here). Paper copies are accepted, but the application fee is higher. The Graduate School collects all the materials for the application - online form, personal statement, academic writing sample, GRE and TOEFL scores and recommendation letters.
Applications are reviewed by the Admissions Committee within CERES. Applicants who have requested financial aid are considered at that time.
Notification is sent at the end of March or beginning of April for admission for the fall, or in late November for admission in the spring.
Application is extremely competitive.
The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences has set minimum standards for the GRE: 600 verbal, 600 quantitative and 5.0 Analytical Writing. If you have questions about your score, please email Associate Director Jennifer Long at: LongJ [at] georgetown.edu.
