George Khelashvili studied International Relations in Tbilisi and Oxford. He was assistant professor and acting head of Department of International Relations at Tbilisi State University, advisor to the Speaker of Parliament of Georgia, and press and TV journalist. As deputy director of the Center for Social Sciences in Tbilisi, he contributed to the reform of higher education in Social Sciences in Georgia. Currently, he is working on his doctoral thesis on US foreign policy towards Georgia at the University of Oxford.
